“Semi Silent” is a PHOTO SHOOT AND video series documenting spaces through the eyes (and ears) of an architectural photographer. This series invites viewers alongside me as I explore, discover, and document the built environment.

How this idea came about

As someone who has a lot to say and is always happy to share my opinion, The “Semi Silent” series was inspired by 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 in which Paul writes “… and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.”.

In short, I wanted to shoot things on my own terms and create something new and I want to work with people who not only appreciate but respect my approach to photographing a project. This series was born out of that desire.

WHAT’s INCLUDED

A collection of carefully composed images in my signature documentary style. Each photograph highlights the atmosphere and character of the space and is delivered in a cohesive, curated gallery that you may select the most impactful images from for your marketing and portfolio needs. See an example of a full Semi Silent gallery HERE.

At the heart of this offer is the “Semi Silent” short film, created in partnership with your firm. While these videos feature me documenting the space, they are composed to keep the architecture the main character by combining the natural sounds of the environment and music that reflect the feeling of the space. You’re also welcome to invite other collaborators to cost-share in the project, making it a multi-party effort that benefits everyone involved.

In addition to the Semi Silent video that you’ll be able to share, you have the option to create shorter clips or license individual footage for other uses. These videos also lay a good foundation for expanded videos with clients.

I invite you to share any priorities or key details you’d like me to focus on that are important for your portfolio and brand. From there, you get to step back and allow me to document the project independently, knowing you’ll receive work that reflects both your vision and mine.
