Architecturally Designed Storage Facility in Mankato, MN
Architect: Mohagen Hansen
Civil: ISG
I had been driving by this location regularly and I was never quite sure what was going up. Was it a new retail location? When I found out it was the Storage Lounge, I was thinking that it was a retail store that sold storage and organization supplies. Would make sense, right? I would certainly welcome it.
As the design started coming together, I was becoming more and more interested in photographing it. With some of the well-design features on the exterior of the building, it didn’t look anything like the other buildings we have here.
Construction had finally wrapped up in the Spring and I was going to be getting around to calling about professionally photographing it when out of the blue, I get a call from the owners asking about photographing it for both the business and architecture firm. I love it! We went and did a scout and photographed it a week later. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot as well as some behind the scenes.
